The Evolution of My Drawings for Raving Real Estate

From the very beginning, in the first Local Home Guide advertisement for Raving Real Estate there was a little drawing that appeared in the top right corner.  For a year, I did little drawings with no real focus or purpose.  I drew landscapes, horses, architectural features, etc but nothing really of substance or even average artistic ability.  I grew disgruntled at times, and Brendan kept believing and appreciating the little doodles I would submit for our advertisement.

At one point I drew the following house.  Not the best artistically, but all of the sudden it became clear to me.  I really needed to focus on the obvious correct subject matter and take my drawings a little more seriously.

I have always loved the following home and so this became my first real Laramie home drawn that has set the pace for the ones that would follow.

Here are a couple other examples of some of my favorite drawings thus far:

I have also had the great honor of donating my drawings for auction at the Annual Evening at the Ivinson's Dinner and Auction at the Laramie Plains Museum at the Historic Ivinson Mansion.  I have done this for the past two years and love it!

2010- ... and 29 weeks pregnant- explains the pudginess. :)

These are the drawings I did for people who commissioned the work through the auction.

And, I did this drawing for another donated auction for Laramie Montessori Community Organization.

I thoroughly love doing these drawings and will continue to do so for as long as I can.  Every month I do a drawing, and if you would like me to consider drawing your home, contact me.  I do this for free.  I also, do contests that provide the opportunity to receive a free drawing of your own home, place of business, historic building etc.

However, I am more than willing to do further drawings outside of the ones listed above for a fee.  I can only do so much and after that point need to charge for this service.  I also, have and will continue to do drawings of homes outside of Laramie.  Some people in Laramie move from a home they loved or move from Laramie to another home and would like a drawing of their old or new home.

So there you have it- if you ever wondered about the story behind these drawings. :)
